Discipline is a process of guiding behavior. It helps children understand their feelings and express them appropriately. It encourages children to be sensitive and cooperative with others. Childrens behavior is influenced by their development, their environment and the adults who care for them. Caring Adults:
Young children do not develop well when they are pressured, frightened, threatened or punished.
As per section 31 of Child Care Regulations: Under no circumstances may children be humiliated, neglected, isolated, spoken to in a harsh manner, deprived of food or other basic needs, slapped or spanked. |
